5. 4th of July in the Ponchatoula Rec Park
Its actually the 4th on the 3rd. July 3rd that is!! The park will open at 12:00NOON for us to start setting up the concessions. Set up cannot begin before that. We will sell from 5:00pm – 10:00pm only. All are advised to be at the park EARLY because once the park opens there will be nowhere to park cars. We will sell soft drinks, candy, hot dogs, hamburgers, nachos, Frito pies, Popsicles and snow cones. We ask that boosters please sign up to work  in the booth! Students are not allowed to work IN the concession stand however, we would like to have a few of you strong young men to assist us with setting up and running for ice, etc.

5. A field trip to DCI (Drum Corps International) in Lafayette, LA will be our kick off to Band Camp on Monday, July 22nd.
The cost of attending DCI is included in all band/guard members fees, however if a parent wishes to go - the cost is $21 per ticket.  If a parent is planning to attend, and did not sign up at the Booster Meeting, they need to let us know ASAP. Also, If you are going to ride the bus we need to ensure we have enough space. All Booster Membership fees must be paid in order to attend with the band.  Parents: If you are not attending, please make sure your student has $$$ to eat concessions and a meal! This is a LONG day, we don't want them to go without eating all day.
